Open Rovery, go to Profile → Delete account, and confirm. That is the fastest route and it is permanent.
No longer have the app installed? Email privacy@rovery.app from the address you signed up with and we will delete the account for you.
Only want to delete some of your data and keep your account? You can do that too — see deleting some data below.
Deletion cannot be undone.
1. Delete it yourself, inside the app
Open Rovery and sign in.
Go to the Profile tab.
Scroll to Delete account.
Confirm when asked.
Your account and its contents are removed straight away. You do not need to email anyone, and there is no waiting period.
2. If you no longer have the app
If you have uninstalled Rovery or cannot sign in, email privacy@rovery.app from the email address you used to sign up, and ask for your account to be deleted. We will confirm the request and delete the account. We aim to respond within 30 days, and in practice much sooner.
We ask you to write from the signed-up address because that is how we confirm the request is really yours. If you cannot, tell us and we will find another way to verify you.
3. What gets deleted
Your login and account itself.
Your profile — display name, tagline, home city, travel style, avatar colour, profile photo, and your UPI ID if you saved one.
Every trip you own, along with its itinerary, activities, expenses and photos.
Your membership of other people's trips.
Your friend connections and any invite links you generated.
Photos and receipt images you uploaded, including ones you added to other people's trips.
This is immediate and permanent. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account after deletion.
4. What stays, and why
Some things necessarily survive your deletion, because they are not solely yours:
Trips owned by other people remain theirs. You are removed from them, but the trip itself continues to exist for its other members.
An expense another member created that involved you stays part of that member's own financial records, because it is their record of a real cost too. Without it, the people you travelled with could not settle up correctly.
Anonymous crash reports and short-lived technical caches expire on their own schedules. These do not identify you.
5. Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to close your account to remove things. Inside Rovery you can:
Delete a trip — on the Trips tab, press and hold the trip card, then confirm. This removes the trip along with its itinerary, expenses and photos.
Delete an expense — on the Split tab, swipe the expense row and confirm. Expenses can be deleted by the person who paid.
Leave a trip — this removes you from it and stops any further sharing with that group.
Remove a friend — this ends the connection and stops further sharing.
Edit or clear your profile details — change or empty your tagline, home city, travel style, profile photo or UPI ID from the Profile tab at any time.
Each of these takes effect immediately and leaves the rest of your account intact. If you want something removed that you cannot delete yourself, email privacy@rovery.app and tell us what to delete; we aim to respond within 30 days.
